  • An IHG Extended Stay Hotel Webster, Texas Job Summary Candlewood Suites Webster is seeking an energetic, service-focused, and results-driven Assistant Manager to support the daily operations of our extended-stay hotel.
The Assistant Manager works closely with the General Manager to ensure exceptional guest experiences, maximize hotel performance, and maintain IHG brand standards. This leadership role oversees front desk operations, guest services, team development, revenue opportunities, and overall hotel operations. Key ResponsibilitiesOperations & Guest Service Assist in overseeing all hotel operations, including Front Desk, Housekeeping, Guest Services, and Night Audit. Ensure exceptional guest satisfaction by responding promptly and professionally to guest concerns and service requests. Maintain compliance with IHG brand standards, hotel policies, and operating procedures. Conduct property inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance standards are met. Support extended-stay guest relations and foster a welcoming environment that encourages repeat business. Leadership & Team Development Recruit, train, coach, and motivate hotel associates. Assist with scheduling, performance management, and employee development. Lead daily staff meetings and communicate operational priorities. Promote a positive workplace culture focused on teamwork, accountability, and guest satisfaction. Financial & Administrative Responsibilities Monitor hotel revenues, expenses, and labor costs to achieve financial goals. Assist with forecasting, budgeting, inventory control, and purchasing. Review daily reports, occupancy trends, and operational metrics. Ensure accurate cash handling, billing, and audit procedures. Support revenue management initiatives to maximize occupancy and ADR. Sales & Community Relations Assist in implementing hotel sales and marketing strategies. Build relationships with local businesses, medical facilities, contractors, and corporate accounts. Support efforts to increase extended-stay occupancy and guest retention. Compliance & Safety Ensure compliance with IHG standards, company policies, OSHA regulations, and local laws. Maintain a safe and secure environment for guests and team members. Assist with emergency procedures and risk management initiatives. Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred. Minimum 2-3 years of hotel leadership or supervisory experience. Prior experience with IHG brands and extended-stay hotels preferred. Strong knowledge of hotel operations, guest service, and revenue management. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Experience with hotel property management systems preferred. Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed.
