Job Description

Yancey Water Supply Corporation is seeking applicants for the position of General Manager. Applicants must have five years of leadership and personnel management experience; water utility experience is a plus. Applicants must have knowledge and experience in administration, human resources, fiscal procedures, regulatory compliance, facility design and construction and computer systems and software. Applicants must be able to manage legal, financial engineering and other consultants. College degree in business or engineering is preferred. Class B Groundwater Operator and/or Class B Wastewater Operator licenses are a plus. Yancey Water Supply Corporation serves 5303 customers, increasing by 6-7% annually, and has a $8.3 million operating budget with 19 employees.
