Job Description

Position Overview:
Holiday Inn Express in Hillsville, VA is seeking a dependable and flexible team member to support hotel operations alongside the General Manager. This position works approximately 3-4 days per week, with hours that may vary depending on operational needs. The team member will be cross trained in multiple departments, including front desk, housekeeping, laundry, and breakfast to help ensure smooth daily operations and excellent guest service. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and is willing to learn multiple roles within the hotel!
Key Responsibilities:
Provide friendly, professional guest service during any shift coverage. Assist with check-ins, check-outs, reservations, and guest requests. Work various shifts, including FD mornings (7am-3pm), FD evenings (3pm-11pm), Night Audit coverage (11pm-7am), breakfast coverage (6am to 11am), Housekeeping (9:15am to 2:00-2:30pm), and Laundry (9am - 2:30-3pm) if needed. Assist with breakfast preparation and setup until the breakfast attendant arrives when working Night Audit. Maintain cleanliness and organization of all public areas while following IHG's Culture of Clean and Way of Clean. Support hotel operations wherever needed during shifts. Follow all IHG brand standards and hotel procedures. Other duties assigned, per sole discretion of the General Manager.
Schedule Expectations:
Schedule will fluctuate between 3-4 days per week, possibly more depending on various needs of the hotel. Must be available to work weekends and holidays, along with having reliable transportation to and from work. Shift assignments may vary depending on hotel needs and discretion of the General Manager.
Qualifications:
Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to multitask and adapt to different roles. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Comfortable learning multiple positions within the hotel. Previous hotel or customer service experience is preferred but not required. Ability to work independently during busy and quiet shifts.
