Job Summary:
The General Manager evaluates operational activities that have a direct and indirect impact to service level metrics. Is responsible for a diverse team of employees, leads, supervisors and Operation Managers, ensuring they execute daily tasks while holding them accountable to meet company operational and financial objectives.
Essential Functions:
  • Responsible for ensuring that day to day operations and that proposed SLA's are maintained in good standing. As the liaison between 3PL & client, this role would drive the seamless communication with the client and ensure that we are implementing a standardized approach to the RoadOne business.
  • Evaluate daily operational goals to ensure we meet customer SLA's.
  • Maintain all necessary documentation and ensure that it is up-to-date, i.e. certificates of insurance, carrier agreements, etc.
  • Creating a positive work culture which translates to a high-performance environment.
  • Involvement with recruitment and retention initiatives.
  • Direct responsibility with profit and loss activities with a budget that exceeds 16M annually.
  • Assist departments as needed with issues such as meeting daily goals, compliance, KPI's.
  • Prepare operational reports for department heads and executive leadership
  • Review invoices to approve cost before submitted for payment
  • Quote various rates for customers and analyze possible routes for new business
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in the transportation/intermodal industry required
  • Strong problem-solving and reasoning ability
  • Experience with people management
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to make quick decisions based on various factors
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under frequent time pressures
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy All potential hires must pass a drug screen and a background check.
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$125,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
