Job Description:
Position Overview We are seeking an exceptional Business Manager / Chief of Staff to support the client's Vice President. This role functions as a direct extension of the VP, serving as a trusted partner responsible for driving operational excellence, strategic alignment, and execution across a highly dynamic technical organization. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced executive environments, excels at cross-functional coordination, and brings strong analytical and communication skills to influence decisions at all levels of the organization. Key Responsibilities Act as primary business partner to the VP and senior leadership, managing executive priorities and strategic initiatives Prepare briefings, materials, and insights for L10+ executive audiences Drive cross-functional alignment across Finance, HR, Recruiting, PR, and technical teams Lead operational planning efforts including OP1/OP2 cycles, 3-year planning, goals management, and business reviews Design and implement scalable governance frameworks, reporting structures, and operational processes Facilitate executive communications, staff meetings, offsites, and cross-team forums Translate complex technical and business concepts into clear executive-level narratives Lead high-visibility cross-functional initiatives and special projects from planning through execution Identify operational inefficiencies and drive continuous improvement across the organization Ensure accountability and timely delivery of strategic commitments Required Qualifications (Must Have) 6+ years of experience in cross-functional project or program delivery, OR MBA with 5+ years of relevant experience Prior experience supporting VP or executive-level leadership in a Chief of Staff, Business Manager, or equivalent role Strong ability to use data and metrics to influence decisions and drive operational improvements Proven experience managing complex, cross-functional initiatives in a fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have) Strong strategic thinking with ability to influence roadmap and organizational priorities Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to influence at all levels of leadership Experience leading organizational change or transformation initiatives Demonstrated ability to operate as a change agent in large, matrixed organizations
