In this pivotal role, you will support store operations, drive sales, and ensure exceptional customer service. Your leadership will inspire team members, streamline daily tasks, and uphold the highest standards of retail excellence. The ideal candidate is energetic, organized, and passionate about retail management, ready to motivate teams and optimize store performance. Duties Assist in managing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory control, and cash handling. Lead and supervise team members to deliver outstanding customer service, ensuring a welcoming shopping environment. Oversee employee orientation, training & development initiatives to foster a knowledgeable and motivated staff. Coordinate recruiting efforts by participating in interviewing candidates and onboarding new employees. Manage merchandising, pricing strategies, stock replenishment, and inventory management to maximize sales opportunities. Utilize POS (Point of Sale) systems for transactions, sales tracking, and reporting; handle cashiering duties efficiently. Implement marketing campaigns and promotional activities to boost store visibility and sales performance. Maintain organizational standards through effective bookkeeping, payroll processing, budgeting, and inventory control. Supervise shift schedules, monitor retail math accuracy, and ensure compliance with store policies. Foster a positive team environment through leadership in supervising staff, managing conflicts, and promoting communication skills. Qualifications Proven assistant manager or supervisory experience within a retail or grocery store environment. Strong management skills with the ability to lead teams effectively and motivate staff toward shared goals. Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable for diverse customer engagement. Demonstrated proficiency in inventory management, merchandising, pricing strategies, and retail math. Experience with POS systems, cash handling procedures, payroll processing, bookkeeping, and budgeting. Skilled in negotiation, customer service excellence, employee orientation, interviewing techniques, and training & development. Organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting; time management is essential. Knowledge of retail sales techniques including wireless sales or grocery store operations is a plus.
