Fort Atkinson, WI & Brookfield, WI About Us LifeCare Transport is a growing, family owned Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) provider in southern Wisconsin. We offer safe and dependable transportation primarily to medical appointments, adult day programs, and community services. We operate 30+ wheelchair and ambulatory vans , serving our communities Monday through Saturday. Our team is committed to professionalism, safety, and high-quality service. Overall, the offices are fast paced, strive for excellence, stick to standard operating procedures, and are ever-improving. Ideal Candidate Our team is seeking a General Manager (GM) with logistics experience, ideally specifically in NEMT, who is extremely hard working, a talented multi-tasker, and is both proactive and resourceful. The ideal candidate is a servant leader who is able to support our team well through clear communication, flexibility, and compassion. They must regularly solve problems quickly with quality, long lasting solutions. Our GM must be able to efficiently and effectively coordinate client needs, employee schedules, vehicle routes, and vehicle maintenance. Achieving this will require high levels of organization and communication with consistency and follow through. Responsibilities Operations & Leadership Oversee day-to-day operations at the Fort Atkinson and Brookfield locations Supervise and support site managers, dispatchers, drivers, and administrative staff Utilize varying staff schedules to ensure efficient routes and thorough coverage Maintain and uphold high standards of safety, customer service, and compliance by responding quickly to service disruptions and vehicle safety concerns Assist with dispatch operations and aid in resolving urgent issues to maintain smooth operations Staff Management & HR Lead the hiring, onboarding, and training of new employees Conduct annual performance reviews giving constructive feedback and inviting productive conversations Build and maintain positive staff relationships and a healthy, respectful work environment Keep driver and dispatcher certifications in accordance with company and state regulations Dispatch, Scheduling & Billing Oversight Assist dispatchers during peak times or crises Help with solving routing challenges, coordinating trips, and resolving customer concerns Oversee billing processes and monthly auditing to ensure accurate and timely billing Aid in resolving unique billing matters and encourage continued development of streamlined processes Fleet Management Manage fleet operations for 30+ wheelchair and ambulatory vans Coordinate preventative maintenance, repairs, inspections, and vendor relationships Leverage cost comparing, resourcefulness, and creativity to minimize fleet maintenance costs and vehicle downtime Keep vehicle maintenance logs and ensure readiness, safety, and compliance Qualifications Required Minimum of 2 years of management experience , preferably in transportation, logistics, healthcare operations, or a related field Dispatch experience , ideally in NEMT, paratransit, logistics, or similar Willingness and ability to travel regularly between both office locations Strong leadership and excellent problem-solving abilities Ability to hold a standard and reinforce accountability structures within a team Extremely effective, clear, timely, and professional communicator High commitment to the team and its success Excellent attention to detail Highly organized digitally and materially The ability to manage multiple moving parts at one time Technologically savvy Preferred Experience in Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Knowledge of ADA requirements and wheelchair transport procedures Experience with billing processes and/or insurance billing General knowledge of HR practices including but not limited to hiring, onboarding, and keeping certs up to date Compensation & Benefits Full-time salaried position (approx. 45 hours/week) Starting salary: $80,000•95,000 per year , based on experience Paid weekly 10 days PTO annually (after 90 days of employment) 6 major holidays off Up to 3%SIMPLE IRA
