Summary of Job Duties:
The Fiscal Support Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of various fiscal division programs by establishing work priorities and standards of performance, and supervising staff. This position is governed by Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy. Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
The formal education equivalent of a bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, general business or a related field At least four years of experience in fiscal operations Applicable equivalencies may be considered on the above qualifications At least two years in a supervisory or leadership capacity
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated familiarity with University fiscal systems and University policies Experience with military and industry tuition assistance processing and veteran benefits Experience processing travel for faculty and staff, state purchase and travel card procedures, and purchase order state and institution requirements Experience supervising temporary, student, and other employee
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of staff development and supervision principles Knowledge of department operations, policies and procedures, and applicable laws and regulations Knowledge of software application programs, database management, and accounting principles Ability to conduct research and perform quantitative quality assurance reviews, resolve operational problems, and prepare required reports Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate activities, resources, and materials associated with the needs of the department or program Ability to plan and direct the work of others
Additional Information:
This position is renewable annually based on continued need for the position, availability of funding, and satisfactory job performance.
