Grants Manager New London, CT 06320 $33.28 - $43.26 an hour - Full-time $33.28 - $43.26 an hour - Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Grants Manager to join our team to coordinate all aspects of grant and contract administration and to support the overall financial controls and reconciliations of the District. This person will provide financial and contractual administration of federal, state and foundation grants pre and post award. Duties Ensure grant programmatic and financial fidelity. Establish grant financial policies and procedures. Prepare and submit grant program and financial reports as required by contract. Write and maintain program memorandum of agreements and other contracts. Track grant financial activity against budgets and monitor for necessary budget revisions; prepare and submit budget revisions as required. Monitor grant implementation for cost effectiveness. Work with the Health Program Coordinators to regularly review and approve programmatic and financial activity and deliverables. Establish and maintain relationships with personnel at funding and partner agencies. Research new grant opportunities. Review grant applications; develop budgets for new grant submissions; complete or review administrative forms as required by the request for proposal; perform other related activities for the completion of grant applications and project contracts. Prepare budgets and forms for grant renewals. Maintain grant records and files. Reconcile balance sheet accounts in QuickBooks or other accounting software as assigned by and in coordination with the Director of Health. Skills
  • Substantial planning, analyzing, organization, prioritization, and execution skills.
  • Forward-thinking problem-solving, follow-up, and good time management skills; demonstrated ability to follow through on open items.
  • Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other relevant software programs.
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks.
  • Proficiency with CORE CT and other state and federal grant reporting systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand grant contracts and legal forms.
  • Strong work ethic and a high value system focused on accuracy and quality.
  • Demonstrated ability to research answers to questions and challenges and apply strong critical thinking and good judgement to creating answers and solutions.
  • Ability to distill complex contractual and/or financial information and effectively share it with internal and external stakeholders in order to collaboratively make sound decisions and plans.
  • Written and oral fluency in English.
Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelor's Degree in accounting or related field. A combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Minimum of ten years of experience in non-profit or government finance.
Pay:
$33.28 - $43.26 per hour
