Grants Management Specialist Dept. of For-Hire Vehicles Washington, DC Job Details Full-time $93,069•$119,916 a year 20 hours ago Qualifications Grant management Collaborating with government agencies Mid-level Task prioritization 1 year Training Full Job Description This position is located in the Department of For-Hire Vehicles (DFHV), Operations. The mission of the Department of For-Hire Vehicles (DFHV) is to protect the public interest by regulating the vehicle-for-hire industry to allow the residents and visitors of the District of Columbia to have safe, affordable, and accessible transportation options. Duties and Responsibilities The Grant Management Specialist administers the grant-planning process with relevant grant planning in bodies defined by statutory policy. Manages and coordinates grants portfolio including inter agency memorandums of understanding. Serves as DFHV subject matter expert for competitive and non-competitive Grants processes, including planning, public notifications, open application period, grant review, internal approval, award notification, grant agreement, funds disbursement and compliance The incumbent leads the coordination with DFHV business units, the Chief of Staff, and the Agency Administrative staff to determine grant needs and create and update grant plans. Serves as DFHV's point of contact for issues and questions relating to grant proposals, review panels, and the grant scoring process. Troubleshoots and assists in resolving grants issues/problems and offers alternative solutions to problems and concerns. Ensures quality and consistency of work. Identifies areas for improvement and enhancement in grants management and provides training. Plans work to be accomplished; sets goals and priorities.
Qualifications and Education Specialized Experience:
Specialized experience is experience which is directly related to the position and has equipped the individual with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. To be creditable, at least one (1) year of specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression. Licensures and Certifications None Work Environment/Conditions The work is performed in an office setting.

Residency Preference:
When claiming residency preference, you are required, and must agree in writing, to maintain bona fide District residency for a period of seven (7) consecutive years from the effective date of employment. You will be required to present documents (proofs) to show District residency and failure to maintain bona-fide District residency for the seven-year (7-year) period will result in forfeiture of employment.
