Closing Date Continuous Description Benefits Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field and a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in financial aid administration, specifically with federal grants or a closely related field, or Associate degree and 4-5 years of experience in one of the areas outlined above.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience managing federal grant audits and federal compliance reviews. Ability to train staff and develop institutional policies related to federal grant funding.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage the day-to-day operations of federal grant programs such as the Federal Pell Grant and Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG). Ensure the institution complies with all federal regulations and guidelines related to Pell and SEOG programs. Oversee the awarding and disbursement of grant funds to eligible students. Reconcile grant accounts and prepare reports for the Department of Education. Counsel students and families on the Pell and SEOG programs, eligibility requirements, and application procedures. Reviewing student applications (FAFSA) and other relevant documentation to determine eligibility for Pell and SEOG. Determining the appropriate Pell and SEOG award amounts for each eligible student based on federal guidelines and student's financial need. Tracking the allocation and disbursement of grant funds to ensure funds are used properly and efficiently. Keeping accurate records of all grant-related activities, including student applications, eligibility determinations, award calculations, and disbursements. Participating in audits by federal agencies and addressing any findings or recommendations. Responsible for training other financial aid staff on Pell and SEOG program requirements. Develop and deliver presentations on financial aid opportunities to students and parents. Provide training to financial aid staff on Pell Grant policies and updates. Develop clear communication strategies to help students understand their grant awards. Serve as a point of contact for student and family inquiries regarding federal aid. Coordinate with enrollment services, student accounts office, and academic advising departments to ensure seamless financial aid operations.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Strong knowledge of federal financial aid regulations, including Title IV and Pell Grant requirements. Proficiency in financial aid systems (e.g., PeopleSoft). Excellent public speaking and presentation skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Effective communication and customer service skills.
