  • Full-time About Us The Recovery Community Hub of Palm Beach County (The HUB) is a nonprofit Recovery Community Organization (RCO) dedicated to empowering individuals and families impacted by substance use and mental health challenges.
Through peer-led recovery support services, education, advocacy, and community engagement, we are building a recovery-oriented system of care that strengthens individuals, families, and communities throughout Palm Beach County. We believe recovery is possible for everyone and are committed to creating pathways of hope, connection, and opportunity. Position Summary The Deputy Director of Development is a key leadership position responsible for advancing the financial sustainability and growth of The HUB. Working closely with the Executive Director and Board of Directors, this role leads fundraising, donor development, grant management, corporate partnerships, and community engagement initiatives. The ideal candidate is an experienced development professional who is passionate about the nonprofit sector and committed to supporting recovery and behavioral health initiatives. This individual will serve as an ambassador for the organization, cultivating relationships with donors, funders, community leaders, and strategic partners while helping secure the resources necessary to expand The HUB's impact. Essential Responsibilities Fundraising & Development Develop and implement annual fundraising and development strategies. Cultivate, solicit, and steward individual, corporate, foundation, and community donors. Identify and pursue new funding opportunities to support organizational growth. Coordinate fundraising campaigns, donor events, sponsorships, and special events. Track fundraising metrics and prepare development reports. Grant Writing & Management Research, write, and submit competitive grant proposals. Manage grant reporting, compliance, and funder communications. Collaborate with program staff to gather data, outcomes, and success stories for funding proposals. Monitor grant deadlines and reporting requirements. Donor Relations & Stewardship Build and maintain strong relationships with donors and supporters. Develop donor recognition and stewardship programs. Maintain accurate donor records and development databases. Create strategies to increase donor retention and engagement. Community Engagement & Public Relations Represent The HUB at community meetings, events, and networking opportunities. Develop partnerships with businesses, foundations, government agencies, and community organizations. Support marketing and communications efforts that increase public awareness and community support. Assist with social media, outreach campaigns, and promotional materials related to fundraising initiatives. Organizational Leadership Partner with the Executive Director on strategic planning and organizational growth initiatives. Support Board Development Committee activities and fundraising efforts. Assist with preparation of reports and presentations for funders, community partners, and the Board of Directors. Serve as a member of the organization's leadership team and contribute to overall organizational success. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, Communications, Marketing, Health and Human Services, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of three years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, grant writing, development, or donor relations. Demonstrated success securing grants and managing grant-funded projects. Experience developing and maintaining donor relationships. Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and donor management systems. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Available to work Monday through Friday 9-5 with some evenings and weekends as needed Able to commute to sites as needed in Delray Beach, Lake Worth beach, Riviera Beach, and Belle Glade. Preferred Qualifications Experience in substance use disorder, mental health, recovery support services, healthcare, or related human services fields. Knowledge of nonprofit fundraising best practices and donor stewardship strategies. Experience working with Boards of Directors and volunteer leadership. Familiarity with Palm Beach County's behavioral health and recovery systems. Lived experience in recovery or experience supporting a family member in recovery strongly preferred. Experience with government grants, foundation funding, and corporate sponsorship development.
