Job Description

Summary Objective The purpose of this position is to conduct the daily coordination of the project titled Creating a Trauma Resilient Community in Louisville, Kentucky. This class works independently, under limited supervision, reporting major activities through periodic meetings.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The essential functions listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this class. Management may assign additional functions related to the type of work of the class as necessary.
  • Supervises, directs, and evaluates assigned staff, processing employee concerns and problems, directing work, counseling, disciplining, and completing employee performance appraisals.
  • Coordinates, assigns and reviews work and establishes work schedules; maintains standards; monitors status of work in progress; inspects completed work assignments; answers questions; gives advice and direction as needed.
  • Provides technical assistance and instruction to contractors, service providers and the community concerning programs and services and to solve problems.
  • Management of project, subrecipients, and implementation team process.
  • Evaluates and develops goals and objectives, policies, procedures, programs, and performance measures and recommends improvements.
  • Monthly program and financial progress monitoring and audits of subrecipients.
  • Responsible for effective implementation of the project, monitoring of task timelines, and achievement of identified milestones.
  • Ensures grant activity compliance with governmental requirements.
  • Completes funder required reports/documentation.
  • Prepares clear, concise, and comprehensive written reports and presentations.
  • Represents the department to governmental agencies, grant funding agencies and the public to provide information and answer questions concerning grant programs, budget, activities and policies and procedures.
  • Trains service providers and community members in trauma responsive practices and techniques.
  • National Training and Technical Assistance Management.
  • Performs liaison work with multiple community, state, and national organizations and institutions.
  • Reviews and masters federal and state laws and regulations that govern our OSHN streams and programmatic efforts.
  • Performs related work as assigned.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's Degree in Public Health, Social Science, Business or Public Administration or related discipline.
  • Five (5) years of managing federally funded projects, program planning, logistics and operations, monitoring and auditing, or completing grant reports or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
OTHER MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license with an acceptable driving history.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Physical demands refer to the requirements for physical exertion and coordination of limb and body movement.
  • Performs sedentary work that involves walking or standing some of the time and involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force on a regular and recurring basis or sustained keyboard operations.
