$70,000- $73,000 / year Description The Senior Grants Manager is responsible for increasing ABCD public revenues through development of proposals which respond strategically to funder interests and community needs.
This work requires collaboration on program design, budgeting, implementation, and impact assessment as well as the production of proposals, letters of inquiry, grant reports, and other materials. Key Responsibilities Identify and develop sources of grant and contract revenues. Create connections with leading-edge academic research and with recognized authorities on human services best practice, and represent current knowledge in proposals and program design. Project program funding needs and develop overall program revenue strategies. Work with ABCD program and planning staff to assess program impact, and to plan new or modified programs for increased impact and competitiveness. Prepare proposal text, budgets and other materials for grant submissions. Ensure that proposals and reports are submitted by specified deadlines. Maintain grants tracking systems for the Department; analyze key metrics and develop methods to increase productivity. Design and support systems for grants coordination with Development Department. Perform other related duties as assigned from time to time. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Bachelor's degree in a social service discipline or related field. Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in fundraising, grants writing, or related work, including demonstrated capacity to win significant grants from public sources. Knowledge of Boston social service systems and of funding sources for human services. Excellent analytical and budgeting skills. Excellent communication and writing skills. Excellent project management skills. Ability to lead cross-functional teams effectively. Ability to deal sensitively and effectively with individuals of diverse economic and cultural backgrounds $70,000-73,000 USD. Salary scales are set according to an explicit compensation policy and relevant market data.
