Position Information Title Summer Shannon Grant Assistant
Position Description BSU is seeking an undergraduate student to work with Criminal Justice Faculty to assist with work related to the Shannon Grant - a state funded program designed to help reduce gang violence in the City of Brockton. We are looking for a dedicated undergraduate student that will be responsible for:
data entry
organizing files
assisting with data analysis
assisting with literature reviews
coordinating schedules for the PI and Co-PI This position is for up to 10 paid weeks over the summer semester, for up to 20 hours per week Please note:
The assistant may also be tasked with grant related activities, which may take place in Brockton. Preferred Qualifications Academic experience in Criminal Justice
Familiarity with various software (Microsoft word, Excel, SPSS)
Knowledge of how to perform searches for information on academic databases. Physical Demands Ability to sit for periods of time, while performing investigations on the computer.
Ability to travel short distances to off-campus sites between Bridgewater and Brockton.
