Management and Budget Specialist II " Please note : The salary range above represents this position's earning potential. The anticipated hiring range for this position will be $73,569 - $117,252 , based on the candidate's qualifications and experience."

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The DHHS Budget Team is currently recruiting for a motivated, detail-oriented Grants team member to support various aspects of grant development and management while collaborating across departments and funders. This is a great opportunity for someone who has a solid work ethic, is organized and eager to grow their skills in a meaningful, impact-driven role. The Management and Budget Specialist II position provides writing budget, fiscal, technical, and analytical support to the Budget Team for Grants.
Responsibilities for the role include:
Support all functions of the grant life cycle from grant acquisition to grant analysis, and reporting. Support development of grant applications. Analyze data, follow guidelines, and help ensure compliance with grant requirements. Collaborate with internal teams, departments, and granting agencies to gather information and meet deadlines. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Candidates will be required to have strong written communication skills. A writing sample may be required as part of the application process.
Experience:
Two (2) years of professional experience reviewing, analyzing, and monitoring operating and/or capital budgets, including analysis of and reporting on management and programmatic issues having budgetary implications. Additional experience in applying for and managing grants is highly desirable.
Education :
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree.
Equivalency :
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted. Candidates will be required to have strong written communication skills. A writing sample may be required as part of the application process. The applications of those individuals meeting the minimum qualifications will be reviewed to determine the extent, relevance of training, and experience in the following areas: Experience applying for grants & knowledge of Federal/ State or private grant funding requirements & regulations. Experience with grant life-cycle processes, including grant acquisition, grant setup, grant budget, analysis, and reporting. Experience analyzing and reporting on Federal, state, County, or local government budgets. Experience negotiating complex issues, managing multiple tasks, and meeting tight deadlines.
