is currently recruiting for a professional, knowledgeable Grants Manager of the DHHS Grants Team As the Grants Manager, you will: Develop and submit the DHHS Grant Budget Gathering information, editing, organizing, and making recommendations to the CFO about the grant submission. Entering information into the budget systems, ensuring the information is correct and complete, and making necessary edits and adjustments to ensure that the budget is submitted accurately. Ensuring information entered into the system by staff is accurate and complete Supervise the House Bill Grant Ensuring that the House Bill Budget is complete and accurate Ensuring that all reports to the state for the House Bill are complete and accurate Perform expenditure analysis on DHHS Grants Running reports to see how much has been expended for grants Developing spreadsheets that capture information needed about future financial transactions Meeting with service areas to discuss grant expenditures, including House Bill. Developing regular analyses of grant budgets Supervise and manage Grants Team staff. Meet regularly with Grants Team staff to ensure their performance and work with them to grow their understanding and capabilities Overseeing staff work and communicating with them to explain areas of misunderstanding and ensure improved performance Training staff on systems and tools, as well as explaining how things work to enable them to better perform their duties Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external staff. Meeting regularly with DHHS Staff, State contacts, Department of Finance, and other stakeholders Working to ensure that all information needed to be known is known and is shared with the appropriate entities. Approve DHHS transactions that are grant-related. Reviewing and approving Web ADI's Reviewing and approving Grant Documents Reviewing and approving Journal Entries Reviewing and approving CAWs for contract actions Reviewing and approving personnel transactions, including PMF's used for personnel actions. Reviewing and approving other DHHS transactions that are grant-related. Making others aware of transactions when needed, including theCFO, OCOO
Chief, DHHS Director, and OMB staff. Seeking clarification and corrections to actions when needed and holding meetings about actions to better understand them to ensure they are necessary and accurate. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. The selected candidate will be required to complete and submit a Financial Disclosure Statement . As a manager/supervisor working in a union environment, this position has a responsibility for fostering a positive labor relations environment based on mutual trust, respect, and cooperation.Experience :
Five (5) years of progressively responsible professional experience in the government budgeting process, including grant budgeting.Education :
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree.Equivalency :
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.Note:
