  • $55,000 commensurate with experience Join a Growing Organization Changing Lives The Boys & Girls Club of the Plateau (BGCP) is one of the fastest-growing youth-serving organizations in Western North Carolina.
From serving 144 children when our doors first opened in 2014, BGCP now serves more than 650 youth annually across multiple locations in Jackson and Macon Counties. Through nationally recognized programs, caring adult mentors, and a commitment to ensuring every child has access to opportunity, BGCP is helping young people build brighter futures and reach their full potential. BGCP is seeking a passionate, detail-oriented Grants and Outcomes Manager to help fuel this growth and impact. This position plays a critical role in securing and stewarding more than $1 million annually in grant funding from private foundations, corporations, and government agencies. The Grants and Outcomes Manager will lead grant proposal development, reporting, compliance, and outcomes tracking while working closely with program, finance, and development staff to tell the story of BGCP's life-changing work. About Boys & Girls Club of the
Plateau:
BGCP's mission is to enable all young people—especially those who need us most—to realize their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens. Through after-school, summer, and teen programming, BGCP provides a safe and supportive environment where youth in grades K-12 receive academic support, develop healthy lifestyles, build leadership skills, explore career pathways, and form meaningful relationships with caring adults. Our programs are designed to remove barriers to success and create opportunities for children and teens in rural Western North Carolina, particularly those from low-income and underserved families. At BGCP, every grant secured represents more children served, more opportunities created, and more lives changed.
Primary Responsibilities:
Grant Writing and Submission Lead the preparation and submission of grant applications, including compelling narratives supported by program outcomes, community data, and member impact stories. Coordinate budgets, financial information, and supporting documentation with the Finance Director and other team members. Work with the operations team to establish realistic, measurable outcomes and ensure required data collection processes are in place. Manage application timelines, facilitate internal review processes, incorporate feedback, and submit proposals by established deadlines. Grant Reporting and Outcomes Management Manage all grant reporting requirements, including programmatic, financial, and outcomes reports. Coordinate with operations staff to collect attendance, demographic, outcome, and program participation data required by funders. Prepare and submit timely reports, ensuring compliance with all grant requirements and record retention policies. Collaborate with the Resource Development Director to collect photos, videos, testimonials, and member success stories that demonstrate program impact. Generate reports and maintain accurate records within MyClubHub, 21DC, and other data management systems. 21st Century Community Learning Center Administration Manage data collection, reporting, continuation applications, and compliance requirements associated with 21st Century Community Learning Center funding. Ensure accurate and timely entry of required member information into 21DC and other reporting systems. Monitor performance measures and support program staff in meeting grant-funded outcomes. Grant Compliance and Portfolio Management Maintain oversight of the organization's grant portfolio, including tracking deadlines, deliverables, reporting requirements, and funding periods. Provide regular status updates to the CEO and leadership team regarding grant activities, compliance, and upcoming deadlines. Coordinate and support grant monitoring visits and audits, ensuring documentation is complete and readily available. Attend funder meetings, trainings, conferences, and other professional development opportunities as appropriate. Perform other duties as assigned.
Working Relationships:
This position works closely with the CEO, Finance Director, Resource Development Director, VP of Operations, and Club leadership to secure and steward funding. The Grants and Outcomes Manager also serves as a primary point of contact with grant funders, auditors, and community partners regarding grant compliance, reporting, and outcomes
Preferred Skills/Credentials:
Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, communications, business, English, public administration, or a related field; equivalent experience considered. Two or more years of experience in grant writing, grant management, fundraising, program evaluation, or related work. Demonstrated ability to write clear, persuasive narratives and synthesize data into compelling reports. Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and database or CRM systems. Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills. Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and the mission of serving youth. Ability to pass a criminal background check.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Must have the ability to sit for long periods of time, walk short distances, stoop, bend, and lift & carry up to 10 pounds.
