Job Description

DIRECTOR OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE INTERVENTION MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in human service field with two years of experience or a master's degree in human service field and one year experience. Licensed professional in the state of North Dakota preferred. Willing and able to engage in deliberate and purposeful interventions that challenge the beliefs behind those who use violence and abuse within intimate relationships. Required to work with multiple agencies in Grand Forks County, as well as other jurisdictions, to focus on victim safety, offender accountability, and coordination of services. Effective group facilitation skills and strong interpersonal, supervisory and leadership skills are also required. Preferred experience/knowledge of the criminal justice system.
COMPENSATION
Salary range is $52,466-$87,443 depending on education and experience. Benefits include a generous leave package including annual leave, sick leave and personal days; 11 paid holidays; health, dental, vision, and life insurance; 403 (b) with employer match; mileage reimbursement for travel and potential eligibility for federal student loan forgiveness.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise the New Choices (NC) Program Staff Interview, hire, and train Domestic Violence Intervention Specialists, group facilitators, and interns. Provide ongoing supervision, performance coaching and formally evaluate staff on an annual basis. Enforce agency policies and procedures. Provide professional growth opportunities to staff. Facilitate regular team meetings. Program Oversight Provide oversight of program operations to ensure completion of grant goals and objectives as well as maintaining compliance with state standards. Assist in the development and maintain oversight of the NC program budget. Support program services by participating in exploration, application, oversight, and reporting on grants. Participate in visioning for future programmatic enhancements and growth to further the Safer Tomorrows Road Map and collaborate with partners as needed. Record Keeping/Grant Management Maintain a system of tracking cases referred to the program. Enter data and compile statistics from Optimize NP. Compile quarterly outcome measurements and grant report data according to established procedures and grant instructions. Accept and track payments for group participants. Review and share relevant grant information with staff, such as special conditions, grant goals/objectives/outcomes, and grant funded activities. Collaboration Foster relationships with criminal justice partners and community organizations. Participate in CCR meetings to include DV High Risk Team, DV Court Steering Committee, and Civil Issues Committee. Serve on community and state-wide boards and committees as assigned. Attend CVIC leadership meetings. Attend CVIC staff meetings. Other committees as assigned. Direct Services Conduct intake, halfway interviews and exit interviews for group participants. Complete collateral contacts as needed. Co-facilitate group sessions for men who use violence in their relationships and cover other groups when coverage is needed. Complete follow-up calls and letters as needed. Communicate with DV Intervention Specialist (women's groups) regarding group participant's status for partner contact updates. Work closely with the courts, social services, and probation regarding participants in the program. Provide updates and collaborate with probation regarding participants in the program. Provide updates to the Domestic Violence Court Project Coordinator for Domestic Violence Court Review hearings. Provide updates to the court system, attend hearings, and testify in court.
