Position Summary The Grant Manager is responsible for identifying, researching, writing, and managing grant proposals to secure funding that supports the organization's mission and programs. This role works closely with leadership and program staff to develop compelling narratives, maintain grant compliance, and build relationships with funders. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Identify and evaluate local, state, federal, and private grant opportunities aligned with organizational priorities. Maintain a grant calendar with deadlines, reporting requirements, and submission schedules. Track funding trends and recommend strategic opportunities. Write, edit, and submit high-quality grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and supporting documents. Collaborate with program and finance staff to gather data, budgets, and impact metrics. Prepare proposals to meet specific funder guidelines and priorities. Monitor awarded grants to ensure compliance with all requirements. Prepare and submit timely progress and final reports. Maintain accurate records of submissions, awards, and outcomes. Represent STWN in meetings and/or in communications with grantors as needed. General Requirements 5+ years of grant writing or nonprofit fundraising experience required Bachelor's degree preferred Demonstrated success securing grants Work with internal teams to collect program data and outcomes. Translate program results into compelling impact narratives. Basic knowledge of Windows-based personal computers and software systems, including proficiency in Microsoft Office products Possess the proficient ability to communicate in English in oral and written format. Manage submission through multiple portals (Benevity, CyberGrants, ePAGE, DEEDS, etc.) Follow all health and safety procedures and regulations as dictated by the Organization and the state. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand frequently; walk frequently; sit; use hands and fingers to point, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear. The employee must be physically able to lift 15 pounds or more. The vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to excessive heat and wet and/or humid outside conditions. Due to working in the office, warehouse, and/or school setting, the noise level in the environment is moderate to high at times.
