Job Description

Position Summary Release Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Part-Time Grant Administrator to help manage the full grant process from start to finish. This role supports grant research, proposal development, application submission, deadline tracking, budget monitoring, compliance, reporting, renewals, and closeout. Release uses a team approach to grant management, and the Grant Administrator works closely with the Executive Director, Accountant, program leaders, and other staff to help secure and manage grant revenue that supports the organization's mission.
Key Responsibilities Grant Management:
Manage the full grant process, including applications, awards, reports, renewals, and closeout. Maintain an organized system for tracking grants that are pending, awarded, declined, due for renewal, or requiring additional follow-up.
Grant Research and Applications:
Research funding opportunities that align with Release's mission and programs. Coordinate the grant application process by gathering needed information, helping draft and edit responses, organizing team input, managing proofing, and submitting applications through each funder's required process, including web portals, email submission, or mailed applications as needed.
Financial Tracking:
Help monitor grant revenue and support Release in meeting annual grant revenue goals. Track grant budgets and expenditures in partnership with the Accountant. Help prepare financial information and reports requested by funders and ensure requested financial details are accurate and responsive to each funder's requirements.
Compliance:
Help ensure grant funds are used according to funder requirements, deadlines, and restrictions. Communicate special grant conditions to the appropriate staff, including donor recognition expectations, rules about the use of funds, reporting requirements, or restrictions on use of the funder's name.
Reporting and Documentation:
Complete and submit grant reports on time. Reports may include how funds were used, what was accomplished, outcomes achieved, challenges encountered, and lessons learned. Maintain accurate grant records in Bloomerang or other designated systems, including applications, reports, awards, deadlines, contact information, credentials, emails, and funder communication history.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the Executive Director, Accountant, program leaders, funders, and community partners to gather information, track progress, and complete grant-related tasks. Support a collaborative internal process that keeps deadlines visible and responsibilities clear. Required Skills and Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred. Experience with grants, nonprofit administration, finance, writing, or related work preferred. Strong writing and editing skills. Strong organization and attention to detail. Ability to manage deadlines and multiple projects at the same time. Ability to understand budgets and basic financial information. Experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, required; experience with Google Workspace and database or CRM systems is helpful. Ability to work well with a team and communicate clearly with staff across the organization. Knowledge of grant processes and funder expectations preferred. Pay:
$23.00 - $27.00 per hour
