This position ensures compliance with federal, state, and agency regulations while supporting sound financial decision-making and program sustainability. Key Responsibilities Develop, monitor, and analyze program budgets and financial projections. Prepare monthly financial reports and monitor spending against budget and grant requirements. Manage grant budgets and assist with grant applications, proposals, and reporting. Ensure compliance with Head Start, Early Head Start, Wisconsin Child Care Licensing, OMB Uniform Guidance, and GAAP requirements. Prepare and code expenses, maintain petty cash, and reconcile asset inventories. Assist with audits and maintain accurate financial records. Collaborate with program leadership and the Finance Department on financial planning and reporting. Provide financial information and reports to leadership, Policy Council, and the Board of Directors. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. Experience in accounting, budgeting, financial management, or grant administration. Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office. Ability to interpret financial regulations, prepare reports, and meet deadlines. Access to reliable transportation Preferred Qualifications Experience with nonprofit grant management. Experience working with government-funded programs. Head Start/Early Head Start experience preferred. Knowledge of OMB Uniform Guidance (Super Circular) and federal grant requirements. Physical Requirements Ability to work in an office environment and use a computer for extended periods. Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Ability to pass a criminal background check.
