In this role, you will be the guardian of inventory integrity, ensuring that physical stock matches digital records through rigorous counting, research, and root-cause analysis in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Verify the accuracy of physical inventory quantities daily by performing cycle counts according to the established calendar. Research and reconcile inventory variances as they occur, analyzing data to determine the root cause of discrepancies. Utilize stand-up forklifts and other material handling equipment to move stock and access items for counting. Record all findings accurately in the cycle count database and reconcile paperwork within the ERP system. Use Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook) to process inventory reports and maintain digital records. Support an "accurate inventory culture" by proposing improvements to reporting timeliness and completeness. Maintain the integrity of inventory locations and quantities to reach the company goal of 95%+ record accuracy. Collaborate with shipping, receiving, and production departments to improve inventory flow and reporting.
Requirements:
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in shipping, receiving, and warehouse environments, specifically as a cycle counter.
Equipment:
Must have a forklift certification, specifically including experience with stand-up forklifts .
Software:
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; experience with an ERP system is a strong plus.
Language:
Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly preferred.
Physical Ability:
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks including bending, reaching, and standing for long periods.
Aptitude:
Strong mathematical skills and the ability to follow complex technical instructions at a steady production speed.
Pay & Schedule:
Pay Rate:
$25.00 - $26.00 per hour
Shift:
4:00 AM start time (Shift lengths vary between 10-12 hours; e.g., 4 AM to 2 PM or 4 AM to 4 PM).
Availability:
Must be available to work weekends as part of the regular schedule.
Environment:
Warehouse setting with exposure to both hot and cold temperatures.
Pay:
$25.00 - $26.00 per hour
