San Marcos, CA Job Details $28.00 - $31.25 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Sunset Distributing is looking for a detail-oriented Assistant Inventory Manager to assist the Inventory Manager's duties.
Responsibilities:
Monitor compliance with product freshness policies, which include proper product labeling and rotation in the warehouse. Analyze and resolve inventory discrepancies, working with various departments and management levels. Develop and implement procedures that target the reduction of the following finished product loss categories: breakage, out-of-control, overages, and shortages. Monitor inbound and outbound deliveries and product transfers. Notify management and sales personnel of out-of-stock, low-in-stock, or close-to-code situations. Manage claims for receiving/returning breakages, overages, and shortages. Proof and reconcile invoices, credits, cooperage, and pallet credits. Process in-transit invoices and credits monthly and follow up on outstanding cooperage/pallet returns High school diploma or GED certificate required, College degree preferred. 2 years of inventory and/or accounting experience. Highly Proficient in Microsoft Excel. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective communication skills. Highly organized with the ability to manage priorities, coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, and attentive to details. Able to work flexible hours as needed.
