Full Job Description Objective/Summary:
The Cycle Counter is responsible for meticulously monitoring warehouse inventory through random and scheduled cycle counts. The primary objective is to ensure accurate material representation within inventory records, supported by precise data input into the inventory management system. This role also involves various stores and stockroom activities to maintain inventory precision during material receipts, transfers, and issues.
Essential Functions:
Conduct random and scheduled cycle counts of active inventories. Utilize data collection tools and software to record and update inventory levels in the management system. Collaborate with the materials handling team to coordinate inventory movement within the warehouse. Assist in tasks such as monitoring stock levels, replenishing shelves, and fulfilling department orders. Work closely with the shipping and receiving department to ensure accurate processing of shipments. Support order fulfillment by picking, packing, and preparing items for shipment. Assist in financial modeling and analysis related to inventory management and forecasting. Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, including adjustments, transfers, and returns.
Requirements:
Familiar with MRP systems, Microsoft Excel, and Word. Basic computer skills for data entry and retrieval. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Previous forklift experience and certification. Previous experience in cycle counting or inventory control is preferred. Strong attention to detail and ability to work with numerical data. Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent (GED). Previous working experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment is preferred. Familiarity with manufacturing concepts, practices, and procedures. Work is conducted both indoors and outdoors year-round.
