Job Description

Inventory Control Clerk Job Summary The Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, monitoring stock levels, and ensuring materials and products are properly received, stored, and distributed. This role supports warehouse and operations teams by performing inventory audits, tracking shipments, and helping maintain an organized and efficient inventory system. Key Responsibilities Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments and materials Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management systems Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies Monitor stock levels and notify management of shortages or overstock situations Label, organize, and store inventory in designated locations Prepare and process shipping, receiving, and transfer documentation Coordinate with purchasing, warehouse, and production teams to ensure inventory accuracy Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts when required Follow company safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Previous inventory, warehouse, or logistics experience preferred Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and inventory software Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good communication and problem-solving abilities Forklift certification preferred but not required
