Manufacturing Full Job Description Schedule :
1st Shift - Monday through Friday (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM)
Summary :
This position performs general administrative duties primarily in the purchasing department throughout the facilities that include, but is not limited to operating a fork lift, overseeing the efficient storage and dispatch of product, keeping stock control systems up to date and ensuring inventory accuracy, ensuring all product is properly labeled, and maintaining cleanliness of work area. This organized, deadline oriented, self-starter will have general knowledge of computers while verifying quality and accuracy of products. Will be working in both shipping and receiving. Will ensure the accurate and efficient treatment of product therefore complete knowledge and understanding of Colorado Premium's GMP's and HACCP programs are required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
  • Enters orders for materials. Keeps stock of materials, and distributes them as needed.
  • Perform equipment operations that may include maintaining cleanliness of equipment and maintaining proper storage and charge. Ensures all product is correctly stacked, labeled, and organized.
  • Ensures data entry into ProTrace is accurate. Files paperwork and does updates of material specifications.
  • Verifies receipts of products received. Ensures charges are being put in appropriately for orders.
  • Supports and complies with all policies and procedures that ensure food safety, including cleanliness and housekeeping in all work areas.
This includes responsibility for Safe Quality Food (SQF) for BRC compliance, HACCP, CCP tasks, sanitation and all support program implementation. Remains engaged and active in the avoidance and observation of unsafe acts or conditions; takes immediate corrective action where necessary. Must be committed to maintaining a safe and healthy working environment
Education/Experience :
  • High School or GED required, with at least Six (6) months experience. Preferred experience in a manufacturing setting, preferably in a food-processing environment.
  • Must be forklift certified by company.
  • Experience with ProTrace, Microsoft Powerpoint, Outlook, and Excel preferred. Purchasing experience a plus.
  • Must speak, read, and write English. Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
  • Requires the ability to stand for the majority of the shift and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (i.e. safety equipment) such as hard hats, hair/beard nets, earplugs, etc.
  • Must be able to repetitively lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds while exposed to wet and/or humid conditions with slippery surfaces at varied heights; moving mechanical parts; fast paced cold/cool environment.
  • Must be highly motivated, hardworking individual who enjoys working in a team atmosphere, possesses a strong work ethic, pays great attention to detail, has the ability to meet deadlines, and is committed to safety, service, quality, and consistency.
  • Good reading, writing, basic math, communication and organizational skills.
