The Role The Inventory Control Associate supports accurate inventory management across all Waterworks locations, including the corporate office, showrooms, and other business channels. This role operates within a warehouse environment and is responsible for the timely and precise execution of inventory transactions. On a daily basis, the associate works as part of the Inventory team using warehouse management systems and handheld scanning devices ("RF guns") to track, count, and move inventory. Core responsibilities include cycle counting, monitoring inventory transfers, and ensuring inventory accuracy throughout the operation. This role is onsite daily, working within a warehouse environment. Responsibilities Execute and manage inventory transfers and daily cycle counts using warehouse systems and scanning equipment Utilize handheld RF scanners to track and verify inventory movement and accuracy in real time Partner with Distribution Center and Inventory Management teams to support merchandise consolidation, inter-location transfers, and inventory disposition activities Collaborate closely with Warehouse Associates to coordinate and complete inventory transfers efficiently Process Store Design inventory transfer requests and support related product movements Assist with staging and relocating Store Design products for build-out projects Maintain accurate inventory records and support continuous improvement of inventory processes Perform additional duties as assigned Requirements High school diploma or GED required, with 2-4 years of related experience in distribution, logistics, shipping/receiving, manufacturing, or a warehouse environment Current certification (or ability to obtain certification) to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, and cherry pickers Proficient in or able to quickly learn warehouse systems and technology, including RF scanning equipment, FedEx Ship Manager, and Microsoft Office applications Strong ability to collaborate across departments and take a proactive role in supporting effective inventory management Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take initiative Highly detail-oriented and organized, with strong follow-through and problem-solving skills Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds as needed
