Position Overview:
Performs a variety of tasks relating to all inventory items received, picked, stocked, and shipped in a manufacturing environment.
Essential Functions:
Basic inventory control functions Monitor inventory levels for accuracy Organize and maintain materials on hand Assist with loading / unloading materials from trucks with use of forklift and / or pallet jack. Chemical management to include stocking, and checking expiration dates Work order processing to include order picking delivering kits and completing ERP transactions Complete Daily Cycle Count tasks; create count sheets and audit discrepancies Bin Stock Control and Replenishment Material logistics between multiple locations on campus Monitor / order shipping materials Assembles wooden or cardboard containers or selects preassembled containers General housekeeping Job Specifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities): Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines Excellent organization skills with strong attention to detail Excellent teamwork skills and high degree of initiative required Excellent communication, both written and verbal Work independently and possess a high level of self-motivation Must be proficient with MS Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) Proficient with
ERP/MRP Systems Education, Certifications and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED One year of forklift experience preferred Experience in a Production environment preferred
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Working conditions are normal for that of a manufacturing/machine shop/office environment. Ability to lift and carry up to 30-50 lbs.
