Advanced Surgery Center at Brownwood is currently seeking a
Full Time Inventory Control Specialist Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Materials Manager, the Inventory Control Specialist assists the Purchasing and Finance departments by performing clerical and inventory related duties, which ensures the accuracy of inventory and financial reports.
Job Duties:
  • Maintain accurate information for all items in inventory such as manufacturer information, quantity, etc. for all equipment and supplies within the facility
  • Utilize financial and inventory computer systems to ensure all inventoried items are up to date
  • Build, implement, and maintain PAR levels of inventory in each department
  • Conduct inventory count as needed and within the Inventory Count Team
  • Assist with updating preference cards with new items in inventory
  • Complete additional duties as needed and assigned

Training, Experience & Education:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Minimum of one (1) year of related training and/or experience of inventory maintenance and logistics in a healthcare setting required
  • Knowledge with surgical/medical supplies and equipment required
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and Pivot tables required
  • Experience with financial computer application strongly preferred
