Inventory Management Associate

Duties Manage inventory levels through accurate data collection, analysis, and forecasting using ERP systems, MRP software, and warehouse management systems like AS400. Coordinate purchasing activities and negotiate with suppliers to secure optimal pricing, terms, and delivery schedules, ensuring cost-effective procurement. Conduct root cause analysis to identify inventory discrepancies or supply chain bottlenecks, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Utilize data visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau to monitor stock levels, demand planning metrics, and supply chain analytics for continuous process improvement. Oversee shipping & receiving processes, including materials handling, order fulfillment, and logistics coordination with 3PL providers and carriers. Support category management initiatives by analyzing sales trends from Nielsen or retail data sources to optimize stocking strategies. Assist in production planning and materials management to ensure timely availability of materials for manufacturing or retail operations. Requirements Proven experience in warehouse management, inventory control, or supply chain analytics within a fast-paced environment. Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in SQL, Excel (including data mining), and data visualization platforms like Power BI or Tableau. Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP or AS400; experience with MRP systems is highly desirable. Familiarity with procurement processes, sourcing strategies, and supplier management practices. Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement process improvements effectively. Valid forklift certification and experience with materials handling equipment preferred. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary; experience with shipping & receiving tasks is a plus.
