JOB SUMMARY
Performs a wide range of duties to facilitate the operation of the Receiving Department including the inspection, count and verification of all supply and equipment orders that are received at the Receiving Dock. Identifies problems with products, services, and conditions in the receiving area and reports them with ideas for corrective action. Provides support and information to Materials Handlers and explains to others what is needed to accomplish goals and objectives. Applies ways to prevent theft and loss when receiving, maintaining, and securing supplies and equipment. Receives products into MMIS system. Delivers direct or special ordered items to requestors. Performs preventive maintenance on equipment, maintains equipment in good operation order. Performs all duties and maintains all standards in accordance with company policies and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High School graduate or equivalent.
Licensure:
None.
Experience:
Previous receiving experience is preferred. Experience with automated inventory control process is preferred.
Skills:
Requires excellent communication and analytical skills. Acquire and maintain knowledge of Mediclick MMIS computer system, and Microsoft Outlook. Requires the ability to prioritize and complete assignments in a timely manner. Requires the ability to work under pressure and attention to detail. Requires the ability to identify potential receiving issues in advance and preempt them or minimize them. Requires understanding of standard concepts, practices and procedures of inventory control and supply logistics. Ability to handle a variety of complex clerical tasks as part of the receiving function.
