Turf Operations Support 1 - Kailua Kona, HI

Summary Under general direction, performs a variety of job responsibilities which may include delivery of fertilizer and chemical products to customers from the Unit office, equipment and plant maintenance work, and fertilizer blending, responsible for unloading and proper storage of turf products from commercial trucks and loading of company, Class A, delivery trucks with customer orders. Maintenance of warehouse facility, inside and out, to help ensure facility is operating in a clean manner. Respond to customer questions on turf equipment.

Key Responsibilities May assist with recordkeeping related to warehouse/inventory responsibilities. Unload turf, seed, and fertilizer product from commercial delivery trucks. Ensure proper storage and handling of products. Load company delivery trucks with customer products. Pulls parts from inventory by use of forklift, or other company equipment.

Additional Key Activities:

Seasonally, long hours may be required. Maintenance of warehouse facility to include any repairs needed on operational equipment and troubleshooting. Ensure cleanliness of facility inside and out. Maintain clean and orderly warehouse. Maintain product equipment and assist customers with equipment installation and use of turf equipment, i.e. sprayers etc. Assist in misc. warehouse duties, i.e. inventories etc. Analyze returned equipment and recommend corrective procedures. Miscellaneous duties such as assisting with special projects, attending training sessions, providing back-up when needed, etc. Disclaimer - The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification. Combination of education, training and/or experience will be considered for this position.

Skills & Relevant Experience Two plus years related experience and/or training AP/AR experience highly preferred Prior customer service experience preferred Warehouse experience a plus Proficiency with MicroSoft Office Suite Ability to learn and utilize industry-related software Demonstrated focus on meeting customer expectations and delivering high-quality customer service Excellent organizational and communication skills Knowledge of the local geography is preferred to assist in locating farms and fields Requirements Valid Driver's License Forklift experience is required Ability to maintain maintenance records for equipment Ability to take on dispatching duties when necessary Ability to lift 50lbs multiple times throughout the day Ability to follow written and oral instructions
