Job Description

Description We are looking for an Inventory Clerk to support a healthcare facility in Council Bluffs, IA through a Contract assignment. This role focuses on completing accurate asset counts, confirming equipment identification, and helping maintain reliable inventory records across hospital departments. The ideal candidate brings hands-on inventory experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work respectfully in active patient-care settings.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct physical audits of fixed assets and equipment throughout the hospital to confirm inventory counts.
  • Attach or confirm identification tags on equipment and ensure asset labeling is accurate.
  • Review on-site findings against current asset records to validate inventory information.
  • Investigate mismatches by documenting missing items, unrecorded assets, and other inconsistencies.
  • Suggest corrections to inventory records based on audit results and verified asset details.
  • Perform all inventory activities with care, discretion, and professionalism in clinical and patient-facing areas. Requirements
  • At least 2 years of experience in inventory control, asset tracking, or a related inventory support role.
  • Working knowledge of physical inventory procedures, including asset counting and record verification.
  • Experience identifying discrepancies and maintaining accurate inventory documentation.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a hospital, healthcare, or similarly regulated environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to stay organized while managing multiple inventory tasks.
  • Familiarity with asset inventory, annual physical inventory, or annual inventory processes.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and interact professionally with staff across departments.
