$27.69 AHF Products has a job opportunity for a Storeroom Clerk at our vinyl flooring plant in Kankakee, IL. We are looking for a top leader for our Kankakee location to add skills and talent to the existing talented team who want to lock arms and grow. JOB DUTIES
Work as member of storeroom team, with customers and suppliers to optimize inventory availability and carrying costs, in support of production and maintenance objectives. Ensure inventory management excellence, including security, replenishment, proper storage and maintenance, timely receipt and issuance, inventory cycle count and reconciliation, and coordination of disposal of surpluses. Receives, unpacks, checks/inspects, shelves/stores, catalogs, and issues items such as equipment, machinery, parts, and supplies. Including return shipping for non-conforming materials Re-stock of items made/repaired in-factory. Places orders for approved/required inventory items. Maintain stock quantities on non-Inventoried items and re-order accordingly. Monitor VMI Vendors through approval of reorder quantities. Uses appropriate manuals and supply catalogues to determine identification numbers and other related data for parts, supplies, and materials which are ordered and issued. Checks quantity and quality of goods received for conformity to purchase orders and specifications. Inspect all deliveries and report shortages, damages, and other discrepancies. Maintains appropriate stock and inventory records using a computerized inventory control system (M3). Ensures inventory control by taking physical inventory counts to verify computerized inventory. Checks invoices, prepares requisitions for stock replacements, and participates in taking physical inventory. Identify and label obsolete items. Prepares reports and records and communicates inconsistencies to management as required. Drives vehicle to pick up and deliver materials and supplies as required. Handles inquiries from department and vendor personnel regarding purchasing and supply problems. Meet compliance requirements for inventory accuracy, financial controls, environmental and quality verifications, receipts accuracy. Maintain high standard of housekeeping, organized storage layout, and efficient parts flow. Ensure stores tools and safety equipment are maintained to be safe and reliable. Maintains courteous and professional relationships with co-workers, other Kankakee Factory employees, and external customers. Meet with Vendors/Suppliers/Salesmen as needed. Operate fork truck as required to execute role. Perform duties as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of storekeeping and inventory methods. Some knowledge of terminology used in equipment repair and parts procurement. Skill in interpersonal relations and the exercise of good judgment and discretion in order to deal effectively with employees and vendors. Ability to work effectively and efficiently under time deadlines and pressure. Ability to follow written and oral directions. Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions given in English. Keen attention to detail and ability to effectively manage time Ability to safely and legally operate a forklift Skills to operate common office equipment. Demonstrated track record in driving continuous improvement and achieving goals Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, and Outlook) High School Diploma or GED equivalent Experience in progressively responsible storeroom procedures and clerical work, some of which involves data entry or any equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience. Possess a valid driver's license with a demonstrable safe driving record. As this position may require operating a motor vehicle owned by, leased by or loaned to AHF; All policies, rules and directives concerning personal driving records, motor vehicle violations and the reporting thereof will be strictly enforced.
