This full-time Inventory & Materials Associate III position is 100% on-site in Rock Falls, Illinois, and eligible for insurance benefits on the 1st day of the month following date of hire. Inventory & Materials Associate III is a senior peer on the team and reports directly to the Vice President of Operations. This role receives shipments, fulfills orders, and follows internal procedures to record, maintain, and organize inventory. With an understanding of lean manufacturing, this role also supports each production line with continuous flow and replenishment of materials and supplies. Inventory & Materials Associate III uses and operates powered industrial trucks, including motorized pallet jacks. Physical Demands:
Constant moving/transversing and standing with repetitious hand and finger movements to use and operate office machinery; visual acuity and repetitious positioning self and reaching overhead with hand and finger movement to use and operate powered industrial trucks including motorized pallet jacks; detect, perceive, identify, observe, inspect, and assess receiving, inventory, and materials/supply flow functions; express and exchange information in-person and via phone, email, and video conference. Frequent ascending/descending stairs with moving/traversing throughout building. Frequent positioning self to reach overhead and at or below the shoulder; move and position objects up to 50 lbs.
Work Environment:
Constantly works in manufacturing setting on the shop floor with exposure to fluctuating temperatures and noise levels at or above 100 decibels on average. Working on the shop floor requires safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety footwear with metatarsal guard. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Three (3) years' previous work experience in supply chain management, material handling, warehouse, inventory, or related field required. Intermediate numeracy and computer skills required. Experience working in manufacturing setting and using ERP required. Experience working in lean manufacturing setting highly preferred. Knowledge, skill, and ability to apply advanced understanding of inventory control. Knowledge, skill, and ability to apply basic understanding of lean manufacturing with continuous material and supply flow to production lines. Ability, knowledge, and skill to prioritize safety while using and operating powered industrial trucks including motorized pallet jacks. Ability and knowledge to use and apply critical thinking skills, sound judgement, and logical reasoning to solve problems. Ability and knowledge to use effective communication skills with professional demeanor to maintain vendor/supplier relationships. Ability, knowledge, and skill to demonstrate professionalism and use respectful communication with employees at all levels within the organization. Ability, knowledge, and skill to manage multiple priorities with competing deadlines. Ability and knowledge to apply intermediate skill and proficiency using ERP system (e.g., Made2Manage, Global Shop) and Microsoft programs such as Outlook, Word, and Excel. Ability and willingness to comply with all company policies, processes, and procedures including, but not limited to code of conduct. Ability and knowledge to use and apply intermediate numeracy skills. Ability and skill to fluently speak, read, write, and understand English.
