Full Job Description Position Overview:
The Inventory Associate is a key player in managing the day-to-day operations within the Inventory Department. This role involves collaborating with multiple departments to investigate and resolve inventory-related issues and inquiries. The Inventory Associate is responsible for reconciling data and ensuring accurate inventory records, including any necessary adjustments or moves of on-hand inventory.
Essential Job Functions:
Service Shipping Department:
Provide timely support to the shipping department staff to facilitate accurate and efficient order completion.
Audit Bin Locations:
Conduct audits of bin locations as required across various buildings to ensure inventory accuracy and compliance with company needs.
Maintain Inventory:
Oversee inventory levels based on audit findings and requests from internal and external customers, ensuring all records are accurate and up to date.
Data Reconciliation:
Reconcile inventory data regularly, addressing discrepancies and making necessary adjustments to maintain accurate on-hand inventory records.
Issue Investigation:
Work with multiple departments to investigate and resolve any inventory issues or inquiries, ensuring prompt and effective resolution.
Inventory Adjustments:
Be accountable for performing and documenting any adjustments or moves of inventory, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
Reporting:
Generate and review inventory reports, identifying trends and issues that may require attention or corrective action.
Collaboration:
Collaborate with other departments to support inventory-related initiatives and improvements, fostering effective communication and teamwork.
Compliance:
Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures related to inventory control and management.
Qualifications:
Forklift certified, or be willing to obtain certification to operate power equipment. Ability to read and write English. Willingness to become proficient with ERP/WMS Systems. previous experience preferred. Basic Microsoft Excel skills. Basic math skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision.
WILLINGNESS TO WORK 1030AM - 7PM
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift items up to 50 pounds. Ability to walk and stand up to 8 hours per day. Ability to climb ladders up to 16 ft.
Working Conditions:
Warehouse environment with moderate noise from power industrial trucks.
