OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES
The Inventory Clerk plays a critical role in supporting procurement, inventory, and supplier management functions across the organization. This position requires strong multitasking skills, along with the flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Open inventory packages received, count pieces, verify to packing slip, and forward to procurement. Repackaging parts when necessary. Shelving received items to their specific locations. Tear down boxes. General cleaning and maintaining of the receiving dock and inventory room. Maintain totes used in receiving and production, including cleaning them regularly. Build boxes and package parts for shipment - work instructions provided. Pick parts for production. Transport parts throughout facility (i.e., from dock to inventory room, inventory room to quality lab, inventory room to production floor, etc.). Scan and file documentation. Assist in physical count. Manage and maintain janitorial supplies, office supplies, and shop supplies. Assist with expediting and shuttling parts for local pick-up and delivery. (on a limited basis - 1 to 2 times per month) Other duties as assigned by manager.
Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or equivalent. 2-4 years of experience in stockroom or inventory role. Knowledge of—or willingness to learn—packing standards, crating, and shipping documentation. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. U.S. citizenship required (no dual citizenship).
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with inventory management in a high-mix, low-volume environment. Familiarity with UPS and FedEx shipping processes. Proficiency in computer systems with the ability to work in an ERP environment. Ability to read packing specifications and customer flow-down requirements.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND VISUAL DEMANDS
Standard office environment; occasional exposure to manufacturing plant noise/temperature, requiring PPE. Frequent speaking, listening, and computer use. Vision requirements include depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
