Robert Half Inventory Clerk Lexington, MA Apply Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Inventory Clerk to support manufacturing operations in Lexington, Massachusetts. In this contract position, you will oversee the flow of materials and goods, ensuring accurate tracking and effective coordination with production schedules. This role requires a hands-on approach to inventory management and a commitment to maintaining organized systems.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels using computerized tracking systems.
- Prepare and stage materials for production based on daily manufacturing schedules.
- Inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, verify quantities against purchase orders, and identify any damaged goods.
- Coordinate the secure packaging, labeling, and shipping of items, ensuring all contents align with packing slips.
- Generate and manage shipping documentation, including bills of lading and customs forms for international shipments.
- Arrange pickups with carriers such as FedEx and other logistics providers.
- Monitor stock levels and initiate restocking or reordering processes as needed.
- Organize and label inventory in the stockroom to maximize space efficiency and streamline retrieval.
- Operate manual pallet jacks to move heavy crates and pallets safely.
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure timely availability of required materials. Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift items ranging from 5 to 50 pounds.
- Experience using manual pallet jacks to handle heavy crates and pallets weighing up to 1,500 pounds.
- Familiarity with inventory tracking systems and methods.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to label and sort items effectively.
- Knowledge of shipping processes, including packaging, labeling, and carrier coordination.
- Attention to detail for inspecting shipments and preparing accurate documentation.
- Prior experience in inventory management or related fields.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing and production workflows.
