Automotive Inventory Clerk Hyundai of Dundalk - H Greg Automotive group
ABOUT US
HGreg is one of the fastest growing automotive groups in North America. Founded in 1993, HGreg operates 31 dealerships throughout Florida, California, Quebec and plans to continue the expansion in the U.S. An Automotive Inventory Clerk manages the vehicle inventory at a dealership, focusing on accuracy, documentation, and organization . Key responsibilities include stocking in new/used vehicles, verifying Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs), tracking vehicle movement, auditing inventory, and managing Manufacturer's Statement of Origin (MSO) and title documentation.
Core Responsibilities Inventory Tracking:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of vehicle inventory, including location, status, and details using dealer management systems.
Stocking In Vehicles:
Verify VINs, mileage, and vehicle details upon arrival and enter them into the computer system for sales team access.
Documentation & Titles:
Process, file, and track vehicle titles and MSOs, including managing dealer trades and payoffs.
Audits:
Perform regular physical inventories to audit vehicle stock, ensuring consistency between physical inventory and computer records.
Documentation Support:
Assist with processing paperwork for state registration, taxes, and titles.
Required Skills and Qualifications Detail-Oriented:
Strong attention to detail is critical for VIN verification and title work.
Computer Skills:
Proficiency in computer software, particularly MS Excel and dealer management systems like CDK.
Organizational Skills:
Ability to handle, file, and track numerous documents and vehicle records.
Communication:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with sales and accounting departments.
Experience:
Prior experience in a dealership, specifically as a title clerk, is often highly preferred. Requirements Proven track record in a high-volume dealership environment preferred Strong closing and compliance skills Team-oriented with a positive attitude Professional communication and strong work ethic.
