Job Description

Cycle Counter Great Southern Wood-MD Inc Hagerstown, MD 21740 Full-time Full-time Great Southern Wood Preserving, Incorporated is well known for its flagship product, YellaWood® brand pressure treated pine which it sells through Do-It-Yourself retail home centers, pro dealers and other retail building-related and industrial segments. Our distribution coverage stretches from the Florida Keys to Texas to Canada, an area that includes all or parts of 27 states and the District of Columbia, as well as much of the Caribbean and Latin America, and part of the European Union and Mediterranean region. From pressure treated fence products, columns, deck specialties, and KDAT products, YellaWood® is the brand of choice for outdoor building. Great Southern Wood Preserving, Inc., makers of Yellawood brand Pressure Treated Pine, is seeking an Inventory Cycle Counter. They will be responsible for reconciling physical inventory counts and ensuring proper inventory procedures are followed by performing the following duties. This is a full-time position offering competitive pay and a full benefits package.
Essential Duties:
Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records. Examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shippers to rectify damages and shortages. Responsible for placing identifying information on the material upon arrival at the plant site. Routes items to inventory. Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications. Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies. Operates industrial lift truck or uses tractor truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments to storage or work area. Maintains traffic flow through the white yard and assists in staging shipments for outbound loads. Assists in stacking lumber or moving products by hand as needed. Ensures timely delivery of all customer service commitments. Communicates daily as needed with appropriate personnel on all pertinent information/demands. Perform daily cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy. Verifies and keeps records of incoming and outgoing shipments.
