Job Description

We are looking for a few high integrity individuals that have a passion for cannabis! Inventory Associate As a Cannabis Inventory Associate, your primary responsibility is to oversee the accurate management and tracking of cannabis products and related inventory items within a dispensary or production facility. You will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements while maintaining optimal inventory levels to support operational needs. You will contribute significantly to the operational success and compliance of the organization by maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring regulatory adherence. Your attention to detail, proactive approach to problem-solving, and commitment to teamwork will be essential in supporting the efficient and compliant management of cannabis inventory within the facility.
Essential Duties:
Inventory Management:
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming cannabis shipments against purchase orders. Maintain electronic and physical inventory records using designated software (e.g., METRC, Leaf Logix). Conduct regular inventory audits to reconcile physical stock with electronic records.
Compliance and Regulation:
Adhere to all local and state regulations governing cannabis inventory handling and reporting. Assist in preparing for and participating in regulatory inspections and audits. Ensure proper labeling, packaging, and storage of cannabis products in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
Quality Control:
Monitor inventory for expiration dates and ensure proper rotation of stock. Conduct regular quality checks to identify and report any discrepancies or product issues. Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to maintain product integrity and safety standards.
Documentation and Reporting:
Generate and maintain accurate reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and discrepancies. Document all inventory transactions and adjustments in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Provide inventory-related data and analysis to support decision-making and operational planning.
Team Collaboration:
Coordinate closely with procurement, sales, and production teams to forecast inventory needs. Communicate effectively with team members to resolve inventory-related issues promptly. Participate in regular meetings to discuss inventory performance, challenges, and improvement opportunities.
Operational Efficiency:
Implement best practices for inventory management to optimize storage space and minimize waste. Recommend and assist in the implementation of process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Support inventory-related projects and initiatives as assigned by management
Required Skills/AbilitiesEducation/Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in inventory management is a plus. Previous experience in inventory control, preferably in a regulated industry such as cannabis, pharmaceuticals, or retail. Familiarity with inventory management software and systems, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Works well under pressure and deadlines; ability to multitask. Strong leadership skills with ability to motivate staff. Excellent customer service abilities. Ability to develop and maintain budgets. Thorough understanding of company policies and practices. At least one year of retail experience is highly preferred. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of standing, walking throughout the facility. Must be able to lift 30 pounds at times. 1 year of cannabis industry experience required
