Position Summar The Teardown Associate is mechanically oriented, capable of tearing down fan clutches and maintaining core inventory of parts with exceptional quality by properly and safely assembling and checking parts. capable of producing high volumes of parts with exceptional quality by properly and safely tearing down, assembling and checking parts. , with exceptional quality by properly and safely assembling and checking parts. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Perform all tasks in a safe and responsible manner Advise customer service of inventory availability and problems in the field
- Accurately calculating and verifying quantities, and using computers to maintain records and track components within high-volume warehouse environments. Tracking outbound and inbound inventory with Number Crunchers Packaging finished products for shipping (shrink wrapping, boxing, labeling)
- Fulfill daily orders for special customer groups, including requesting, building, boxing, palliating and weighing parts. Accurately use internal product management system to create work orders, location transfers, etc. to maintain inventory. Staging finished products for loading
- Manage material requests for orders that are due 3-6 weeks out from receipt of purchase order.
- Manage back ordered materials and build/ship when available.
- Communicate with customers when required.
- Manually and mechanically able to move materials within the warehouse.
- Cleaning and maintaining work area Ability to perform basic mathematical computations and apply concepts such as addition and subtraction Use best efforts in full capability daily to the work assigned to you by your supervisor Other duties may be assigned by Supervisor as needed.
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) High School Diploma or GED preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience Good oral and written communication skills Manual dexterity required for operating machinery Ability to be a team player and meet deadlines 1-2 years of related experience working in similar industry preferred; additional education may be substituted for years of work experience preferred Forklift certification preferred
