The Inventory Clerk plays a critical role in supporting the accuracy and efficiency of inventory operations within a fast-paced logistics and distribution environment. This position ensures that inventory levels are maintained, discrepancies are resolved promptly, and stock is properly tracked across inbound, outbound, and storage processes. Shift:
7:00am - 3:30pm). This position will be based at our Memphis Distribution Center in Southaven, MS.Role Responsibilities:
Inventory Control & Accuracy Conduct daily cycle counts and scheduled full inventory audits. Reconcile inventory discrepancies and report findings to supervisors. Maintain real-time inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS). Inbound & Outbound Coordination Verify all inbound put aways for receipt and stock placement accuracy. Verify accurate picking, packing, and shipping of outbound orders utilizing short pick report. Assist in labeling inventory for ease of counting and distribution. System & Documentation Management Update inventory databases with stock movements, adjustments, and transfers. Generate and distribute inventory reports to warehouse and logistics teams. Maintain organized records for audits and compliance purposes. Operational Support Collaborate with warehouse associates, forklift drivers, and logistics coordinators to ensure smooth inventory flow. Identify and report low stock levels or overstock situations for storage bin maintenance. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory processes. Process improvement Continuously identify opportunities to improve inventory management processes. Propose and implement process enhancements to increase efficiency and accuracy. Participate in cross-functional projects to optimize overall supply chain performance. You'll win us over by having the following qualifications:Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED 1-2 years of experience in inventory control within a distribution or logistics setting. Familiarity with WMS platforms (e.g., Manhattan, SAP, Oracle, or similar). Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Good communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams Ability to lift 40 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation Ability to work in a non-climatized warehouse environment Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorshipPreferred Qualifications:
Additional education in supply chain or related field is a plus. Forklift experience Prior inventory clerk or similar role experience preferably in a large-scale manufacturing or distribution environment.About Siemens:
