No Department Details Work at Broadway and SMCF Respiratory Therapy departments to assist with day to day equipment, supply and administrative needs. Day hours can be flexible with start time and shift length (currently 5am or 7am start times). Will provide training with other department ICAs. Weekend and holiday rotation with other ICAs in the department. Summary Work with Respiratory Therapy Department to maintain appropriate stock of supplies, equipment and special order items. The position includes equipment teardown, cleaning and setup, chart reviews and day-to-day administrative support. Job Description Ensure availability of special order items according to daily operational needs Maintain the physical environment of the units by ordering, stocking, and checking expiration dates of supplies and equipment Assist in determining the adequacy of the quality and quantity of material resources for the service Maintain records on material resources and purchases Collect and compile data related to unit activities Work closely with department leaders and staff to ensure availability of equipment and supplies Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accrediting bodies to maintain proper functionality of equipment, including removing equipment for repair as needed Obtain supplies and equipment from outside vendors and other healthcare facilities during off-hours and weekends, when necessary, in the best interest of the organization Develop and maintain positive working relationships with supply chain management, other departments, and company representatives Perform all other duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Post high school education in a related field or supply procurement experience in the healthcare field desired. Basic PC knowledge, including Microsoft Word and Excel required. Based on location, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification may be required within one year of hire, and must be maintained during the length of employment.
