Job Description

Position Summary Responsible for maintaining accurate inventory of maintenance parts, materials, tools, and supplies to support plant operations. This role ensures proper receiving, storage, tracking, and reconciliation of inventory while supporting internal teams and vendor coordination. The position plays a key role in equipment reliability and production uptime by maintaining an organized, well-managed storeroom and overseeing return material authorization (RMA) processes. Key Responsibilities Inventory Control
  • Assist with establishing and maintaining min/max levels for maintenance parts
  • Identify obsolete, slow-moving, or excess inventory and support disposition actions Maintain accurate inventory records in ERP and CMMS systems Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders Label, stock, and organize inventory in designated locations Perform cycle counts and assist with full physical inventories Reconcile discrepancies between physical counts and system records Monitor stock levels and communicate reorder needs to appropriate personnel Parts Issuance & Operations Support Issue parts, tools, and supplies to maintenance and operations teams Track inventory usage and assign parts to work orders when applicable Assist technicians in identifying correct replacement parts Maintain secure storage of critical spares and specialty tools RMA (Return Material Authorization) Management Identify and segregate defective, damaged, incorrect, or warranty items Coordinate with vendors and purchasing to obtain RMA numbers Process and complete all required RMA documentation Package and ship returned materials per vendor requirements Track RMA status and ensure timely credit, replacement, or repair Maintain records of returns, credits, and warranty claims Communicate RMA status updates to internal teams Documentation & Coordination • Support inventory accuracy, service level, and usage reporting for maintenance leadership Maintain purchase orders, packing slips, and receiving documentation Coordinate with purchasing, vendors, and maintenance leadership on backorders and critical parts Support warranty tracking and repairable parts processes Organization & Compliance • Participate in continuous improvement efforts related to storeroom organization, accuracy, and efficiency Keep storeroom clean, organized, labeled, and audit-ready Ensure proper storage of materials including lubricants, electrical, and mechanical components Follow OSHA and company safety guidelines for material handling and storage Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required 2-4 years of inventory, warehouse, or maintenance storeroom experience Experience with ERP, CMMS, or inventory management systems Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical parts Proficient in basic computer skills (Excel, email, data entry) Forklift or material handling equipment experience preferred (or ability to obtain certification) Work Environment & Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb ladders as needed Work performed in a warehouse or industrial manufacturing environment Performance Expectations Maintain inventory accuracy of 98% or higher Ensure timely receiving, stocking, and issuance of materials Maintain accurate tracking of parts and usage Keep storeroom consistently organized and audit-ready
Pay:
$46,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
