Job Description

Introduction HPI Canna is a leading woman-owned state-of-the-art cultivation, extraction, manufacturing, and distribution facility nestled on 434 acres in New York's Hudson Valley with a mission of establishing a healthy and sustainable cannabis ecosystem by bringing best-in-class brands to market with innovative partners at every level of the supply chain. Overview The Inventory Associate is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, monitoring stock levels, and ensuring the proper flow of goods in and out of the warehouse. This role involves tracking shipments, performing regular cycle counts, and reporting any discrepancies to ensure the accuracy of the inventory system. The Inventory Associate works closely with warehouse staff and other departments to support efficient operations.
Duties Inventory Tracking & Documentation:
Maintain up-to-date and accurate records of all inventory movements (receipts, transfers, shipments). Track and record incoming and outgoing transfers in the inventory management system. Perform regular cycle counts and assist with annual physical inventory counts. Ensure all inventory adjustments, transfers, and changes are documented correctly.
Stock Management:
Monitor inventory levels and notify supervisors of low stock or potential shortages. Assist in maintaining optimal stock levels to meet operational demands. Identify and investigate discrepancies between physical inventory and system records. Help organize and manage stock in the warehouse to ensure easy access and proper rotation (FIFO/LIFO methods). Communicate with purchasing, production, and sales teams regarding stock availability and order fulfillment. Work with warehouse staff to ensure timely and accurate order processing. Collaborate with shipping and receiving teams to resolve any discrepancies related to shipments.
Reporting & Data Entry:
Generate and review regular inventory reports for management, highlighting discrepancies, stock status, and trends. Input inventory data into inventory management software (e.g., Distru).
Compliance & Safety:
Follow all company policies and safety regulations, ensuring proper handling and storage of goods. Ensure the accurate labeling and proper documentation of all inventory items. Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe working environment. Requirements Experience in inventory management or related field is preferred Knowledge of production planning and analytics is a plus Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in using inventory management software Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Physical Requirement:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.; Standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended periods during the shift.; Use of hand-held scanners or other inventory tools may be required.
