Rochester, NY Job Details $18 - $23 an hour 1 hour ago Qualifications Computer operation Computer literacy Basic math English Math Computer skills Full Job Description The Receiver, reporting to the Warehouse Manager, will work in a team environment to execute the inspection and receipt of product from vendors.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES

Unload product from vendor trucks according to purchase orders using a hand truck, fork lift, or pallet jack Inspect all products being delivered for accuracy, damages, freshness, temperature, and overall quality. Determine if product is refused or accepted. Alert Management of any discrepancies Receive product accurately on PO in electronic warehouse management system (EWMS). Enter all pertinent information such as date and lot codes. Respond to prompts and alerts within EWMS as needed Assign license plates to accepted products, prepare for put away. Preparation includes but is not limited to down stacking, palletizing or repalletizing, labeling, and/or put away into assigned warehouse slots Transfer received product to applicable temperature zone or warehouse area by hand truck, forklift, or pallet jack (electronic or manual) Maintain receiving log accurately Greet truckers and prioritize order of receiving based on receiving schedule (appointments), reprioritizing when needed Maintain visitor log in receiving area Maintain physical receiving paperwork, including any invoices or bills of lading that arrives with product Use various warehouse equipment including but not limited to hand carts, manual pallet jack, U-cart or the following after appropriate licensure: forklift, scissor lift, power pallet jack, stacker. Communicate in person, phone calls and emails Perform other duties as assigned, including work within other departments when needed

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Ability to fluently speak, read and write English language. Professional verbal and written communication skills Competency on various computer software Proven track record of providing excellent customer service Excellent Currency/Math Aptitude Ability to lift up to 80 pounds Ability to work in a cooler and freezer environment Ability to pass HPE test Ability to pass initial drug test as well as randomized drug tests during employment
