LIBBEY:
For Makers, By Makers. Since 1818! The Inventory Control Analyst is responsible for maintaining the accuracy of U.S. manufacturing plant and distribution center inventories, including fixed assets. This role is ideal for a detail oriented, analytical professional who enjoys working with inventory data and continuous process improvement in a fast-paced environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Daily review of finished goods inventory transactions Monthly/quarterly batch materials physical inventory Coordinate the annual physical inventory of plant fixed assets and provide corporate accounting with all necessary inventory reporting Report all fixed asset transactions to include transfers and dispositions; apply property tag identifications to newly acquired assets Maintain records retention inventory and dispose of records as appropriate Responsible for identifying the root cause of all inventory adjustments Maintain inventory balances plus journal activity for refractory and precious metal inventories Monthly closing responsibilities including journal entries and account reconciliations Standard costing of new items and subcontractor work orders Monthly calculation of cycle count accuracy Responsible for identifying and implementing process improvements as required. Assist in completing our annual audit with a focus on cycle counts and inventory related tests Other job duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent required Associate's degree in accounting, finance, business or supply chain preferred; or equivalent experience One to three years' experience in accounting, supply chain or a related field Strong foundation with Microsoft Office Products (primarily Excel); ability to learn/manipulate systems quickly Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work both independently and in a team environment Preferred knowledge of JD Edwards or similar ERP experience Perform well under pressure, manage multiple assignments and able to prioritize tasks Travel on occasion, less than 10% annually
