Job Description
Position Summary Performs a variety of manual/administrative tasks associated with inventory control, stockroom, kitting, expediting, and shipping and receiving operations in accordance with established procedures. Duties/Responsibilities Receives, checks, stores, issues and ships a variety of items and maintains inventory control. Uses assistance and/or powered mechanical means (not to include forklifts or high bay vehicles) to load, unload, store and deliver a variety of incoming and outgoing material. Prepares and packages small and large parts using proper procedures and materials. Proficiently uses computer hardware/software. Oversees parts preparation, material handling, and packaging equipment. Uses assorted measuring and weight recording devices. Keeps equipment and surrounding areas neat and clean. Performs related duties as required within the scope of this job function. Required Skills/Abilities Works under immediate supervision. Normally receives detailed instructions on all work. Develops basic job skills and learns company policies and procedures to complete routine tasks. Tasks are routine/repetitive in nature, requiring limited judgment. Has little or no role in decision-making. Education and Experience High School diploma required. Supervisory Responsibilities None Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Prolonged periods of standing and walking. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times. Able to bend, stretch, push, pull and move as needed. Must be able to work in extremely oily and noisy environments. Travel - 25% or less. May be exposed to chemicals, mist, and dust.
